Karista offers a free and independent service that connects you with NDIS Personal Care providers and other disability services based on your unique needs and goals. Simply fill out the form and our experienced Client Services team will connect you to available NDIS providers in your area.
What is NDIS Personal Care?
NDIS Personal Care provides support with daily personal activities, ensuring participants receive assistance or supervision for their routine tasks. This support is available in various living situations, whether the participant lives alone, with family, or with others. Personal Care assistance also extends to social, recreational, educational, and employment activities, as well as during holidays away from home.
How can Personal Care help someone with a disability?
Personal Carers offer a range of services designed to support NDIS participants including:
- Personal Hygiene: Assistance with showering, bathing, oral hygiene, dressing, and grooming.
- Toileting: Support with bladder and bowel management, and menstrual care.
- Eating and Drinking: Assistance with meals and hydration.
- Attending Appointments: Accompaniment and assistance for medical and other appointments.
- Use of Aids and Appliances: Support with hearing and communication devices.
- Mobility and Transferring: Assistance with moving in and out of bed, getting on or off the toilet, and other mobility needs.
- First Aid: Application of splints and basic first aid for injuries related to a participant’s disability.

How do I know if Personal Care is covered in my NDIS plan?
You can receive NDIS funding for Personal Care in Core Supports under the “Assistance with Daily Living” category.
Before including any personal care support in a participant’s plan, the NDIA must be satisfied that the support will assist the participant to pursue their goals, objectives and aspirations. Personal care supports for children are not intended to replace the usual care and supervision provided, or paid for, by a parent, however, the NDIA may fund personal care supports for children with complex needs where the level of support needed is beyond the level usually required for children of the same age.
How does Karista work?
Karista provides a free, independent service connecting you with disability and home care services, therapists and support workers based on your personal needs and goals. Our Client Services team are experienced in finding and connecting NDIS and Aged Care (HCP & SAH) participants to supports with availability.

Karista will then complete the paperwork (with your consent) so you can spend less time on admin and more time on the things that matter.
