The Lizard Centre is a leading NDIS registered provider of evidence-based intervention for children and young people with autism, speech and developmental delays. For over 20 years we have been providing children and families with behaviour therapy that works! 

 

At Lizard Centre, our skilled Behaviour Support Specialists are experts in developing individualised therapy programs to target the skill development your child needs the most.  

 

We understand that every child’s and family’s circumstances are unique. To meet the needs of families, we have designed the following therapy programs that can be tailored to fit the participant’s NDIS budget: 

  

Our Positive Behaviour Support Program is tailored to address behaviours of concern such as disruptive behavior in school, aggression towards peers or family members, elopement and other challenging behaviours that affect the child’s wellbeing. We provide positive outcomes by assessing the child and understanding why the behaviours occur, creating and implementing a Behaviour Support Plan and providing continuous training and support to the child, parents and caregivers. 

 

Our Early Learners Program provides comprehensive intervention to children aged 1-7 years. The program helps the child develop foundational learning skills, communication, good sleep routines, healthy mealtime habits and toileting skills.  

  

Our After School Program provides focused therapy for school-aged children 7-14 years. The program is designed to build the child’s personal independence, social and academic skills, as well as address any behaviours of concern.

We use trained Therapy Assistants who can provide over twice as many therapy hours as the full therapist NDIS rate. The evidence shows that more face-to-face therapy hours delivered by professional practitioners improves outcomes, supports families in skill generalization and helps children learn new skills faster so that they can move on and live a fulfilling life.
