Danielle founded Karista in 2016, driven by her passion for transforming the healthcare industry. A dedicated entrepreneur with a deep understanding of the aged care and disability sectors, Danielle’s inspiration stems from both her professional leadership roles in large healthcare businesses and her personal experiences as a mother of a neurodiverse child. 

Her firsthand knowledge of the value of therapies and support services has shaped her vision for Karista, helping families access the critical resources they need for meaningful outcomes. Under her leadership, Karista continues to make a significant impact on the healthcare landscape.

Choice and Control

At Karista, we are committed to the NDIS principle of choice and control by empowering participants and their representatives to select their preferred providers. We do not guarantee providers a specific number of requests or referrals, ensuring that participant choice remains at the forefront of our approach.

How it works

1. Search and Compare
Visitors to our website enter key details such as service type, location, funding type, and age group. We then present a tailored list of available Providers in their area.

2. Make an Informed Choice
Requestors can review Provider profiles, including both written and verbal information, to determine the best fit for their needs.

3. Seamless Onboarding
Once a decision is made, Karista facilitates the onboarding process, connecting the NDIS Participant with their chosen Provider.

Karista’s Commercial model

Karista is not an NDIS provider and does not charge NDIS participants or their representatives. Additionally, Karista is not a registered Home Care Package (HCP) provider and does not charge HCP recipients or their representatives.


Karista charges NDIS providers, Home Care Package providers, and Allied Health providers annual subscription and referral fees. These costs do not affect the pricing for participants, as they are considered part of the providers' operational marketing and administrative expenses.

From time to time, Karista may assist you in completing a Service Level Agreement (SLA) with a provider. Please note that SLAs sent to NDIS participants are not Karista's SLAs; they are agreements for services from NDIS providers. Karista does not employ workers, provide NDIS services under any of the NDIS registration categories, or sign SLAs with NDIS participants for the provision of any NDIS services.

All NDIS providers subscribed to Karista must comply with the NDIS Worker Screening Clearance and undergo this formal background check. Clients who are connected to an NDIS provider via the Karista service model should ensure that the NDIS provider completes the worker screening process.

Karista adheres to the NDIS Code of Conduct, which includes acting with integrity, honesty, and transparency. We take prompt action to raise and address concerns that may impact the quality and safety of supports provided to people with disabilities.
