How can I access Podiatry services?
If you need podiatry services, start by consulting your doctor. They can connect you with health services covered by Medicare. You can continue to use Medicare services even as an NDIS participant. If your disability prevents you from managing your foot care independently, the NDIS may include funding for a podiatrist in your plan. This could also cover a support worker to assist with foot care, such as using specific shoe supports or performing foot exercises.
How do I know if Podiatry is covered in my NDIS plan?
Generally, the NDIS will fund ongoing podiatry and foot care supports if they are
related to your disability. You'll need evidence from qualified Podiatrists, such as reports
or assessments.
Podiatry and foot care funding typically fall under Therapeutic Supports and Capacity Building (Daily Activity).

I went onto the website and put in my information, within two minutes I had a phone call. I spoke to Ellen who was absolutely lovely and did a fantastic job explaining everything I needed to know and making me feel calm in a situation I've never had to navigate before. Definitely recommend this company (and the happy Ellen) to any parent/person who's looking for help in a plan manager.
